Pathfold is a trip planner. It keeps as much as it can on your phone, sends only what a feature needs, and never sells data, shows ads or tracks you across apps.

On your phone only

Your account

Pathfold signs you in anonymously so shared trips and limits work. If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive the name and email Apple shares (which may be a private relay address), only to restore your shared trips on a new phone.

Shared trips

When you share a trip, its plan is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore, in the EU) so everyone on the trip sees the same thing: title, cities and dates, places, bookings, expenses and the names you give travellers. Only people you invite can read it. Attached documents are never shared.

Features that use a server

These send the minimum to our server (Google Cloud Functions, EU), which passes it to Google's Gemini AI and returns the result. Nothing is used to train models or kept after the answer is sent back.

To prevent abuse, the server counts how many of these requests each account makes per day. The counts are deleted after two days.

Notifications and location

Reminders are scheduled on your phone. Your location is only used on your phone to show you on the day's map.

Deleting your data

Deleting a trip deletes it from your phone, and from Firebase if you own the shared trip. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone.

To delete your account, open Pathfold → Account → Delete account. Shared trips you own are deleted for everyone on them, you leave trips others shared, your usage counts are deleted, and your Sign in with Apple authorization is revoked. Your trips stay on your phone as private copies. You can also email support@pathfold.app.

Children

Pathfold isn't directed at children under 13.
